Massage Therapy Staff

Licensed Massage Therapist Joann Nicodemus, a recent arrival in Charleston, has been doing Massage Therapy for over 12 years.  She specializes in Therapeutic and Deep Tissue Massage, is a Certified Medical Massage Therapist and a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist.  She has worked in Outpatient Physical Therapy, in Resorts & Spas, and has owned her own massage business.  Since her arrival in Charleston, she has been working mostly with tennis players, doing Chair Massage at tennis tournaments and working one-on-one with people in their homes. 

Joann graduated from The Institute of Natural Therapies in MI, where the focus was on neuromuscular massage techniques and using massage as a tool to regain and maintain muscular balance.  After graduation, she took the necessary coursework to become a Certified Medical Massage Therapist.  She enjoys educating people about massage and how it can be used in conjunction with other tools such as stretching and self-massage.
